A Place In The Sun

Thanks to everyone who
came along to visit us at the 'A Place In The Sun' show
(Earls Court, March 2011)

Private Clients

Our stand was busier than ever this year with a marked increase in the number of people now looking to take advantage of cheap properties abroad for holidays, investment and retirement.

Many of the people we met told us that they had heard through friends or on community portals that they can get better rates of exchange through using a specialist provider (rather than their bank) and most recognised that Foremost's status as an Authorised Payment Institution means that the company can provide a high level of security as well as the best currency rates.

France, Spain and the USA (particularly Florida) stood out as the most popular destinations, with strong interest too in the Canary Islands from investors looking for holiday lets.

Competition Results To enter our competition this year entrants were asked to estimate the value of Euros and US dollars on display in the competition display case then work out how much these would be worth in sterling at midday on Monday 14th March 2011 using the rates shown on this website.

There were 10 bundles representing 250 notes in €100 and $100 denominations. The total values were therefore €250,000 and $250,000. The rates at midday on Monday 14th March 2011 were GBPEUR 1.1538 and GBPUSD 1.6105. Thus the total sterling value was £ 371,906.63.

Our congratulations go to Mrs. R. Dickenson of Gloucestershire who won £ 500 for the closest entry.

The Competition rules are still available on this link.
